Naidoc Week - Celebrating 50 years of Deadly

This NAIDOC Week, we join our Forster–Tuncurry community in celebrating the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Banks & Dade Chiro+Wellness, we are privileged to live and work on Worimi Country. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our practice stands and pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present. We thank the Worimi people for their enduring connection to Country and for the knowledge, culture and traditions they continue to share with our community.

As a practice, we've been fortunate to care for generations of local families and have built lasting relationships based on trust, respect and community. It's something we never take for granted.

This year's NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of recognising the strength, resilience, leadership and achievements of First Nations peoples, while looking forward to the generations who will continue that legacy.

For us, that future was beautifully reflected this week as Melissa watched her grandchildren proudly take part in the local Forster–Tuncurry NAIDOC celebrations. Seeing young people embrace culture, learn from one another and celebrate together is a wonderful reminder of the importance of connection, respect and community.

To everyone celebrating NAIDOC Week across our region, thank you for sharing your stories, traditions and culture with us.

Happy NAIDOC Week. ❤️💛🖤
