STRESS MANAGEMENT

Linda and Mark offer a set of techniques and programs designed to help people deal more effectively with the stress in their lives.

Stress can be caused by trauma to the spine, by poor eating habits, by emotional upsets that can still be impacting us from years prior and your current situation and most often by a mix of all the above.

Understanding stress management

A Banks and Dade we look at your specific stressors and assist you to take positive actions to minimize their effects on you. This may incorporate tuning of your nervous system, looking at how you digest your food and how your brain is working, to reframing your current situation.

Stress is a physiological reaction to a threat to us (or those we care about). It is designed to keep us safe and support us to run from the danger or fight the danger off. We should then go back to grazing on the prairie (relaxed state) but we don’t! We sit in our stress and it stays with us constantly until we learn how to let it be …

Learning how to switch your autonomic nervous system from ‘fight or flight’ to ‘rest and digest’ is a major factor in reclaiming our calm life and our health and is what we can teach you to do.

Who stress management support may be suited to

Stress management at Banks & Dade may be suited to people seeking support with:

  • Daily pressures that are becoming overwhelming

  • Finding balance in High pressure positions and life

  • Chronic health conditions (cardiovascular issues, anxiety, depression)

  • Insomnia or sleeping issues

  • Relationship issues

Care is always guided by individual needs, comfort and goals.

Your first stress management appointment

Your initial appointment allows time to discuss your current concerns, health history and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to stress. This conversation helps guide a considered and individualised approach to care.

Any recommended strategies are explained clearly, and follow-up appointments focus on reviewing how you are responding, refining care and supporting ongoing balance over time.

In some cases, practitioner-only supplements may be suggested as part of a broader stress management plan. These recommendations are made during appointments, based on individual circumstances and professional assessment. Supplements are never prescribed without consultation and are discussed openly to ensure they align with your overall wellbeing goals.
