SPORTS INJURY AND MANAGEMENT

At Banks & Dade, sports injury and management support is delivered with a clear understanding of how the body responds to physical activity, training and recovery. Established in 2010, our clinic has supported the Forster–Tuncurry community for many years, working with active individuals seeking considered care for injury management and ongoing performance.

Our practitioners take the time to understand how movement, load and activity may be influencing the body. Care is tailored, respectful and grounded in experience, with a focus on supporting recovery and long-term physical function.

Understanding sports injury and management

Sports injury and management at Banks & Dade considers how injury, movement patterns and physical demands interact within the body. Rather than focusing only on the site of discomfort, we look at how posture, biomechanics, muscle function and nervous system input may be contributing.

Our approach is guided by assessment, observation and clear communication. Care may involve a combination of techniques, depending on individual needs, with the aim of supporting recovery, improving movement efficiency and reducing the likelihood of recurring issues.

Who sports injury and management may be suited to

Sports injury and management at Banks & Dade may be suited to people who are:

  • Recovering from a sports or activity-related injury

  • Experiencing ongoing discomfort related to training or physical activity

  • Returning to activity after time away due to injury

  • Seeking support to improve movement and manage physical load

Care is always guided by individual goals, comfort and activity levels.

Your first sports injury and management appointment

Your initial appointment allows time to discuss your injury history, current activity levels and goals. Assessment helps build a clear picture of how your body is responding to physical demands and where support may be beneficial.

Any recommended care is explained clearly, and follow-up appointments focus on monitoring progress, refining care and supporting a safe return to activity over time.
